Mrs. Dale Foemmel of Pine Valley, Mrs. Sonia Christenson of Marshfield and Mrs.
Wilson Bohnhoff of Columbia accompanied Mrs. Helen Evans of Merrill to Chicago
Wednesday, where they attended the funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday for Mrs. John
(Ann Rita) Klepek. Mrs. Klepek was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Evans and Mrs.
Bohnhoff.
Mrs. Foemmel and Mrs. Christenson are daughters of Mrs. Evans. The ladies
arrived home Thursday evening.
Georgeana and William Schulz attended a family picnic supper last week Sunday at
Snyder’s Park. Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pflughoeft and two
children, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pflughoeft, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vornholt and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Vornholt, and Franklin Hrasky, all of
the Neillsville area; Paul Vornholt of Chicago; and Mrs. Jesse James and three
children of Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. James is the former Ruth Vornholt, daughter of
the Mark Vornholts. The James’s were honored guests.
The Schulzes visited at the Mark Vornholt home Thursday evening, where the
James’ were house guests. Mrs. James and children left for their home in
California Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin granddaughter, Tara, and Teresa Hart, and Mr. and
Mrs. George Church of Pine Valley visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Zasoba at
their cottage in Hatfield Wednesday evening. Mrs. Church and Mrs. Zasoba, the
former Hope Wildish, are sisters. The Zasoba’s are Milwaukee area residents.
George Mashin was a Friday evening visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pyka
and family.
Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger visited Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Endel Tuesday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sherman of Altoona visited at the Sollberger home Sunday
evening.
Weekend guests of Dr. and Mrs. James W. Brooks at their Ghost-Town Ranch were:
Mrs. Julian Green, Mrs. Edwin Kraus, Mrs. Gerald Smith, Mrs. John L. Schmitz and
Mrs. Stan Hoebreckx, all of the Milwaukee area. The ladies are members of the
same bridge club.
