Perkins, Grace (1884 – 11 NOV 1967)
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning, Nov. 14, 1967 at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church for Mrs. Harry Perkins of Duluth, Minn., by Rev. Brockman, and
interment took place in the Stanley Cemetery.
The body lay in state at the Izydorek Funeral Home Monday, and Rosary devotions
were held that evening.
Serving as pallbearers were Mathew Smitke Jr., John Smitke, Duluth, Minn.,
Frederick Smitke, Medford, Elmer Dodmead and John Bryan, Neillsville, Casper
Haas Sr., Thorp.
The former Grace Smitke passed away on Saturday morning, Nov. 11, 1967 at her
home of a heart condition. She was born in 1884, and her marriage to Harry
Perkins took place in Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis. She has spent most of her life in
Duluth. To this union one daughter, Catherine was born, who preceded her in
death.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Perkins, and one sister, Catherine Smitke,
and sister-in-lw, Mrs. Anna Smitke, and Mathew R. Smitke, Duluth, Minn.
Frederick Smitke, Medford, Mrs. Frank Matousek, Mrs. Elmer Dodmead, Mrs. John
Bryan of Neillsville, Alfred Smitke, Rice Lake, Wis., Mrs. Eva Phillips,
Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Stohl, and brothers, Frank, John,
Matt, Gotlieb Smitke.
