Straszkowski, Frances (19 APR 1898 – 19 NOV 1967)
Mrs. Frances Straszkowski, 69, of RR 2, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away
Sunday, Nov. 19th, 1967 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 22, ten a.m. at St. Mary's Church,
Junction. Father Rudolph Urbic officiating, with burial in the parish cemetery.
Rosary service was recited at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley at 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday and at 3:00 p.m. by the Rosary Society.
Frances Wozniak was born April 19, 1898 at Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of
Vincent and Josephine Wozniak. She came to the Junction area when an infant with
her parents. She was united in marriage to Joseph Straszkowski May 18, 1920 at
Junction. After their marriage they farmed in the town of Thorp, where she has
lived ever since.
Surviving are her husband Joseph; one son, Felix Straszkowski of Thorp; four
daughters, Jeanette) Mrs. Paul Rygiel, Stanley; (Lillian) Mrs. Lester Ratzburg,
Milwaukee; Mrs. Pearl Teclaw, Thorp (Ruth) Mrs. Cletus Licht of Minneapolis; one
sister, Mrs. Stella Tahalski in California; 27 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and
one grandson.
