Finder, Betty Jane (13 February 1935 - 14 November 2014)
Betty Finder, 79, of Neillsville died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at the Memorial
Medical Center in Neillsville.
Betty Jane Finder was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Neillsville, the daughter of George
and Pearl (Osborn) Ebbe. She attended school in Neillsville and was united in
marriage to Walter Finder June 22, 1957, in Neillsville. She worked for over 30
years in the housekeeping department of Memorial Medical Center. Walter died
Dec. 29, 1972.
Betty loved spending time with family and friends and was always ready to spent
time visiting with a good cup of coffee. Her greatest blessing was her
great-grandson, Nolan, who was always ready with a hug and “I Love You.”
Children were her passion; she enjoyed Abbi and Macy Elmhorst, her ‘little
helpers.’ In her later years, she enjoyed bird watching; cardinals being her
favorite. She collected glassware of any kind. Over the years, she collected
many special pieces and, no, her kids did not break any.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Finder of Neillsville, Mary (Curt)
Fellenz of Marshfield and Steve Finder of Neillsville; one granddaughter, Randee
(Adam) Fellenz-Genett; two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Lydia Genett; and many
nieces and nephews, her favorite, Margaret Michalak, always held a special place
in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a sister-in-law, Mable
Kozlowski; her parents; and her siblings.
A graveside service for Betty will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19,
2014, at the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pastor Joe Weiers will officiate. After
the service, a luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall of the United Church
of Christ in Neillsville.
Honorary casketbearers are Gary Meihak, Tim Kren, Jim Reichenbach, Kip Beck and
Adam Genett. The casketbearers were: Bill Riddle, Larry Keller, Tim Hagen, Curt
Fellenz, Randy Elmhorst and Jeff Fitzmaurice.
