Przybylski, Leon Leonard (7 October 1928 - 13 November 2014)
Leon L. Przybylski, age 86, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Thursday November 13,
2014, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, in Stanley, surrounded by his loving
family. Funeral services and a celebration of his life were held on Monday,
November 17, 2014, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. The Rev.
Janusz Kowalski officiated and burial followed at Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
Leon Leonard Przybylski was born in Chicago, IL on October 7, 1928, to Anton and
Frances (Borowski) Przybylski. When he was a young boy, his family moved to the
Thorp area, where Leon received his education from Thorp School District. Leon
was united in marriage to Valerie Bandach in 1950. He worked at Mattes livestock
in Thorp, and Bellinger Dairy for many years, where he was a cheesemaker. Later
he worked at Stanley Corporation and Rosemeyer Bus Service where he drove school
bus for the Thorp School District.
He loved spending time with his family, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers
and Wisconsin Badgers, gardening, and enjoyed a ‘few’ special trips to the
casino.
Leon is survived by four daughters: Diane (Ray) Zander of Rudolph, WI, Linda
(Don) Disher of Thorp, Elizabeth Przybylski of Cadott, WI, and Antonette Osburn
(Russell Zimmerman) of Thorp; 10 grandchildren; Raphael Zander, Jr. of North
Carolina, Dale (Kristie) Zander of Stevens Point, WI, Michael (Jody) Disher of
Stockbridge, WI, Michelle (Amos) Hurst of Greenwood, WI, Megan Osburn, Jason
Osburn, Amanda Osburn, and Scott Osburn II, all of Thorp, and Tyler Kenealy of
Cadott; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Valerie; his only brother,
Chester Przybylski; and one son-in-law, Scott Osburn.
