Gaab, Jerome "Romy" G. (13 APR 1931 - 26 APR 2007)

Jerome "Romy" G. Gaab, 76, Medford, died Thursday, April 26 at Memorial Nursing Home where he had resided the past three years.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 30 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Burial was at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford, with graveside military rites performed by the Medford Military Honors Team.

Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Chad and Cody Kohler, Casey and Kylie Fitzgerald, and Tyler, Katie Jo, Katie Ann, Ryan, Jamie, Sara and Molly Gaab.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

He was born April 13, 1931, in Medford to Joseph and Christine (Smedegard) Gaab.

He married Kathleen A. Brehm on Aug. 17, 1957, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Romy served with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1958. He was stationed in Okinawa. He worked for Medford Electric Utility from 1958 to his 1989 retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen A. Gaab, Medford; daughters, Sue (Bob) Fitzgerald, Medford, and Ann (Rick) Hearn, Phoenix, Ariz.; sons, Mike (Brenda) Gaab, Middleton, and Pat (Carol) Gaab, Chandler, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and his sister, June Hurtienne, Medford.
