Strovers, Bertha J. (9 NOV 1895 – 18 DEC 1967)
Mrs. Bertha J. Strovers, 72, Park Av., Stanley, died suddenly Monday at Victory
Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Sully, Iowa, Nov. 9, 1895 and she married Charles Strovers on
Feb. 17, 1915 in Sully, Iowa, and she and her husband farmed there for two
years, then moved to the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), where they also
farmed. In 1944 they moved to Stanley, where they operated an implement
business. Mrs. Strovers was active in the business with a son until her death.
She is survived by one son, Leo, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Smitke,
Medford, and Mrs. Edith Huberty, at home; four grandchildren, and one brother,
Conrad, Rockford.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Stanley Presbyterian
Church, with the Rev. O.E. Dirks officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland
Cemetery.
