Moen, Bertha M. (5 March 1890 - 7 July 1973)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Calvary Lutheran Church for Mrs. Bertha M. Moen of Neillsville, who died July 7 at the age of 83. The Rev. Richard Eggen of Granton officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Herman and Wilhelmina May, Mrs. Moen was born March 5, 1890, in Neillsville and was educated in public and parochial schools here. After her March 5, 1908, marriage in Neillsville to John C. Moen, the couple lived in Beloit. They also operated a service station at Augusta. Mr. Moen, who died in 1958, has a carpenter shop in Neillsville. For many years, Mrs. Moen was employed at the Neillsville Laundry and Dry Cleaners. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Barr of Fayetteville, N.C. and Herman and Ray Moen of Neillsville; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
