Champa, Michael (8 November 1946 - 8 July 1973)

Michael Champa, 26, of Addison, Il., died early Sunday morning at a hospital in Arlington Heights, Il., where he was admitted following a boating accident at 10 p.m. July 4, at Fox Lake, Il.

Michael was born November 8, 1946, in Willard. He received his education there and was a 1964 graduate of Greenwood High School.

Surviving are his wife, the former Roxanne Lang of Marshfield; two sisters: Mrs. Henry )Stephanie)Telkas of Chicago and Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Cushman of Racine; three brothers, Frank and Louis, Jr. of Chicago, and Sylvester of Rochester, Mn; and his mother, Mrs. Stephanie Champa of Owen.

The body was to be brought to Greenwood at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday to the Hill Funeral Home. The remains will be taken to the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard at 8 p.m. Wednesday for visitations.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) from Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Mertens will officiate. Burial will be made in the Holy Family Cemetery.
