Peroshek, Elaine E. (6 JUN 1925 – 7 DEC 2014)
Elaine E. Peroshek, 89, Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at the
Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.,
on Thursday, Dec. 11, at Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood. Rev. Doug Bjerke
will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be Tracey Emberson, Brandon Emberson, Brendon Emberson, David Colwell, Jon
Meyer and Scott Krultz. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from
9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Elaine Emily Belter was born on June 6, 1925, in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter
of Ernest and Emma (nee Kernin) Belter. At the age of 10, she moved to Greenwood
with her family, where she was raised and received her education. After
completing her schooling, Elaine had various jobs before her marriage to Frank
J. Peroshek Jr. She was a homemaker, raised her children, and resided in
Greenwood until September 2014. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church,
where she was the church librarian for some time, a Gold Star Mother, and a
former member of the Clark County Choraliers. Elaine also was a Girl Scout
leader, a foster parent, supported three children through an organization called
Child Fund for many years, and supported many Christian causes, the Humane
Society and various charities. Elaine had many interests, but especially loved
her dog, and collecting spoons, music boxes, thimbles, and Coca-Cola
memorabilia.
Elaine is survived by her children, Terry (Lois) Emberson, Loganville, Linda
Anderson, Eau Claire, and Tony (Nichole) Peroshek, Greenwood; one step-daughter,
Rebecca (Sam) Parker, Macomb, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Tracey Emberson,
Heather Meyer, Brendon Emberson, Brandon Emberson, Rebecca Colwell, Hannah
Peroshek, Haven Peroshek and Hope Peroshek; two step-grandchildren, Aaron Parker
and Rachel Parker; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank, on Oct. 7, 2000;
one son, Randall K. Nauertz; and one step-son, David Peroshek.
