Knight, Arlie Wayne died at his residence, Friday, December 5, 2014.

Time and place of services: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel.

Officiant: Deacon Joe Stefancin.

Interment: 2:00 PM, Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Lakeview Cemetery, Rib Lake WI.

VISITATION: 9:30 until the time of services at 11:00 AM Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel.

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: May 28, 1936, Whiteside County, Illinois

Education: 1956 Graduate of Westboro High School

Marriage: Carol Shirley (Peterson), February 2, 1963, Rib Lake, WI.

Principal events in life: Honorably Discharged from the US Army, Armor Division, on February 5, 1962 at the rank of SP4 E4. Arlie loved to “Tinker around,” and took pleasure in making different items out of wood including shelves and eagles. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and playing with his dogs. His favorite times were spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving children: Rocky (Bonnie) Knight, Medford, WI; Wade (Joan) Knight Athens, WI.

GRANDCHILDREN: Katie (Tommy) Weaver, Courtney (Kevin) Zelms, Justin Knight, Michael Baynes, Aaron, Chirstina and Roger Knight, Angel and Sabrina Weaver, Ava Zelms.

Surviving siblings: Brother, William Knight, Ogema, WI; sister-in-Law Mary Jo Knight of Westboro, WI.

Deceased parents: Melvin Arthur Knight, April 5, 2000; Edna Emma (Pratt), August 12, 1999.

Deceased daughter: Laura Denise Knight, March 16, 1986.

Deceased siblings: Sister: Sharon Wojcik, April 28, 2013, brother: Everett Stan Knight, June 6, 2001; brother-in-Law, Joseph Wojcik, September 29, 2014.

Pallbearers: Katie Weaver, Courtney Zelms, Aaron, Christina, Justin and Roger Knight.

-In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
