Mrs. Virginia Trunkel was hostess last Wednesday evening at a surprise bridal
shower honoring Miss Charmain Montgomery, who will be married to Michael
Kissling in August. The bride-elect received a variety of gifts, games were
played, prizes awarded and a lunch was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Yule of Waukesha and their daughter, Mrs. Phillip Lear of
Tampa, Fl., are expected to visit at the home of Mrs. Yule’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Max Lukas, Saturday before continuing on to Eau Claire to visit relatives
there.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Horn of Silvis, Il., visited with Mrs. Arthur Imig last
week.
Mrs. Martha Jake has returned home from a week’s vacation in New York. She was
accompanied by her daughter, Mary Jischke, and her sister, Mrs. Bill Beyer, both
of Oshkosh. They spent two days in Hopewell Junction visiting with Mrs. Nathan
Potter, who is a sister to Mrs. Jake and Mrs. Beyer, and then went to Manhattan
where they visited with Mrs. Jake’s daughter, Lucy, and her fiancé, William
Johnson, at Long Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Schiller and Randy of Pittsville visited with Pete McCammant
and Mary Klune last Wednesday.
Neillsville Kiwanians and their wives had a steak fry Monday evening at the H.
H. Quicker cottage on Lake Arbutus.
