Ted Kaminski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kaminski of the town of Reseburg (Clark
Co., Wis.) and formerly an ag student at Thorp High, who just returned after
completing two years with the Peace Corps in Brazil, as the Thorp Lions Club
held Thursday evening in the dining room of the Thorpedo Restaurant here.
Mr. Kaminski spoke of his reasons for joining the Corps, his 3 months training
which studies included the Portuguese language, agriculture, health industry of
the U.S. and Brazil, plus Communism and Communists tactics.
With enthusiasm he told of Brazil's people, their way of life, cities,
agriculture, eating habits and what the Peace Corps id trying to accomplish
there, and what they had accomplished.
