Weekenders at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bohnhoff were Tony Klepek, Jr.,
and two friends of Berkeley, Il. Tony is the nephew of Mrs. Bohnhoff. Mr. and
Mrs. Otto Wetzel of Pine Valley visited the Bohnhoffs one afternoon last week.
Sunday evening Mr and Mrs. Jerry Jurkiewicz, on the former Leslie Cook farm, and
their niece, Yvonne Linde of the Milwaukee area, visited at the Bohnhoff home
and Monday evening, Mrs. Clifford Winter of Pine Valley called there.
Mrs. Bernice Wroblewski and daughter, Anna, of Dunstable Beds, England, have
been house guests since Saturday at the Bohnhoff home. The Wroblewskis flew to
Chicago, where they spent two weeks with aunts, uncles and cousins, on a 45-day
visit in the United States; they plan to spend the balance of the time in
Wisconsin with relatives here. Mrs. Wroblewski is a niece of Mrs. Bohnhoff.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Peterson have returned to Ripon after a two-week vacation at
their mobile home on Columbia’s main street. Joining them in a cookout recently
were Mr. and Mrs. William Schaetzka and Frank Wizner of Ripon; Mr. and Mrs. Lyn
Modrow of Pickett, Mr. and Mrs. James Panton and family of Markeson; and Mr. and
Mrs. Duane Peterson and children of Neillsville.
Mrs. John Abuya, Debra and David, of Milwaukee, spent from Tuesday until Friday
with the Petersons.
Vernon Peterson and son, Roger, and friend, Frank Wizner, spent several days
fishing on Potato Lake. They caught one Muskie.
Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin and Tara visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mashin and
family of rural Neillsville Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Teresa Hart accompanied her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
White, to her home in White Bear Lake, Mn. Mrs. Hart had been a guest of the
Mashins for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Roubiks and three sons of Clearwater, Fla., were overnight
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Endel last week Sunday.
Mrs. Ella Huntley and daughter, Mrs. Marion Arndt, Mrs. Nick Scherer and Mrs.
Margaret Milton, all of Neillsville, visited at the Endel home Thursday
afternoon. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bertz of Loyal and the Endels made
a trip to Hixton.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hoesly of Marshfield spent last week on their property on
North Columbia Road. They visited Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger Sunday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wulf, who have a mobile home here, and their guests, Mr.
and Mrs. Theodore Rozek of West Allis, visited Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Endel Sunday
afternoon. The three men worked for the same company when the Endels were
residents of West Allis.
