Attending Imago Dei Bible Camp near Clintonville this week are: Tim Stringer,
Tim Henning, Janet Bartz, Connie Winter, Alan and Gary Scharf, Lisa and Laurie
Cattanach, Gail Zank and Chris Garbisch. They were accompanied by the Rev.
Richard Eggen of Zion American Lutheran Church.
Granton Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 is to meet Thursday, July 26, at
5 p.m. in the Granton Park for a potluck picnic. In case of inclement weather,
the group will meet at the Manford Cain home.
Mrs. Van Kayser accompanied her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garfield
Freeberg of Eau Claire, to Madison Monday afternoon where they visited with Mr.
Kayser who entered the Veterans’ Hospital there last Tuesday. Mr. Kayser has
been undergoing tests.
There will be no morning worship services at Zion American Lutheran Church on
Sunday, the 22nd. Instead, the worship services will be conducted Saturday
evening at 8 o’clock. All are welcome to attend.
All members were present last Sunday when the Friendship club met for a picnic
at the home of Mrs. Otto Schmidtke. The club will not meet again until
September.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert visited his sister, Mrs. Ed Sternitzky at Lynn
Sunday.
Fred Steinich has been released from the Marshfield hospital.
York Sew and So Homemakers met Thursday for dinner at the home of Mrs. Frieda
Frischman. For the program, members presented poems and readings on July.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero attended funeral services in Neillsville last week for
Mrs. Bertha Moen. Tuesday evening, they visited Mr. and Mrs. Louis Riedel, and
drove to Edgar Wednesday evening to visit Mrs. Alice Nagel and daughters. The
Feros also visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Johnson.
Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. William Schmidtke .were Mr. and Mrs. Ross
Stevens of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Balciar and daughter, Brenda, of
Marshfield.
Romadka Homemakers were to meet Tuesday with Mrs. Harold Bender.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bender of Neillsville and his sister, Miss Sandra Bender, were
dinner and supper guests Sun day at the Lucien Moh home. The Moh family and
their guests attended the Chili Centennial observance in the afternoon.
Mrs. Van Kayser and her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Freeberg
of Eau Claire, plan to attend the wedding of the Kayser’s’ grandson, Jeffrey C.
Kayser, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Kayser, and Miss Lynn Rae Hubacher
Saturday afternoon. The couple will be married at 2 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church, Waterloo. A reception will follow at the Pine Knoll supper club at
nearby Lake Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Lavey of Nekoosa called last Tuesday
afternoon on Mrs. Otto Schmidtke. Sunday dinner guests of mrs. Schmidtke were
her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Degenhardt and children of
Loyal. In the afternoon, the Degenhardts, and Mrs. Schmidtke attended the Chile
Centennial observance and parade.
Mr. and mrs. Manford Cain attended a meeting of the King’s Couple club of
Immanuel United Methodist Church last Tuesday evening at the Donald Gardner
home.
Mrs. Elda Bartz returned Sunday evening from a week’s visit with her daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Larson, at their home on Pleasant Lake at
Westfield. Mrs. Bartz’s daughter and grandson, Mrs. Irene Drescher and Wayne of
Greenwood, arrived at the Larson home Saturday and brought Mrs. Bartz back home
with them on Sunday.
