Burggraf, Thomas M. (24 AUG 1952 - 15 DEC 2014)

Thomas M. Burggraf, 62, Wausau, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at his home.

He was born Aug. 24, 1952, in Marshfield, to John and Marian (Nikolai) Burggraf and was a 1969 graduate of Stratford High School.

He was employed at Morning Glory Dairy in Marshfield from 1970 until 1990. He then attended semi truck driving school and drove truck for Plainfield Trucking and Holiday Express. He then worked at a box factory in Wausau until his disability.

He married Elizabeth “Liz” Kurth on Nov. 14, 2005. They later divorced.

Mr. Burggraf enjoyed model building, playing chess, golfing and reading about and collecting firearms.

He is survived by six brothers and four sisters, John (Lois) Burggraf, Janesville, Rita (Steve) Schneeweis, Saukville, Paul (Brenda) Burggraf, Stratford, Ruth Burggraf, Spencer, Ed (Anne) Burggraf, Milwaukee, Gloria (Troy) Stewart, Estherville, Iowa, Mike (Jean) Burggraf, Omaha, Neb., Dan Burggraf, Eau Claire, Jim (Lilly) Burggraf, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gerianne Fox, Auburndale.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Entombment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau.
