Nowacki, Delores A. (Heldt) (22 JUL 1935 - 4 DEC 2014)
Delores A. Nowacki, 79, Wausau, formerly of Athens, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014,
under the care of Interim Hospice and Palliative Care at Our House Assisted
Living, Wausau.
She was born July 22, 1935, in Athens, daughter of the late Reinhold and Esther
(Lotzer) Heldt. On July 18, 1953, she married Lester Nowacki in Athens. He
survives.
Mrs. Nowacki was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in the town of Bern for
many years. She enjoyed playing sheepshead, cribbage, fishing, traveling,
cooking and baking. She was a member of the American Legion and the Ladies Aide
group at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lester Nowacki, Wausau; her children, Barbara
(Michael) Horne, Mosinee, Roger (Laura) Nowacki, Athens, Donna (Harvey) Blaubach,
Wausau, David (Cindy) Nowacki, Athens, Kathy (Jeff) Schreiner, Medford, Jim
Nowacki, Athens, Diane (Duane) Blaubach, Athens, Karen (Mark) Golding, Merrill,
and Robert Nowacki, Athens; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four
step-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers Ray (Erika) Heldt,
Mosinee, Kenny Heldt, Wausau; and a sister, Audrey (Steve) Uhthoff, Delaware.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; and
two siblings, Donald Heldt and Betty Dahl.
A funeral service was held Dec. 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. The Rev.
Jeffrey Lambrecht presided. Burial was in the Athens Lutheran Cemetery, Athens.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, assisted the family with arrangements.
