Haase, Paul Sylvester (31 December 1917 - 24 December 2014)
Paul Sylvester Haase, 96, of Stanley, died December 24, 2014, at the Clark
County Health Care Center. He was born on December 31, 1917 to the late Paul and
Elizabeth (Peetz) Haase. Paul grew up in the area and was a lifelong farmer. He
enjoyed his draft horses and working the land. Paul was a member of the Knights
of Columbus and All Saints Parish.
Paul is survived by his nieces and nephews: Al Hase of Stanley, David (Eleanor)
Haase of Stratford, Ruth (Bob) Molley of Belvidere, IL, Debbie (terry) Rueth of
Loyal, and Richard (Jerry Ann) Haase of Greenwood, and many great-nieces and
nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Joseph and Bernard Haase
and Mildred Vandenheuvel.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Holy Family
Catholic Church, Stanley. Father William Felix officiated. Burial followed in
the parish cemetery. Visitation was from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday
morning at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley.
