George White, 7-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herb White, farmers residing 1/2
mile south of the Twenty-Six Road, had the misfortune of falling from a milk
wagon Tuesday morning of last week and suffered a complicated fracture of the
right leg, above the knee.
George was riding to school with his father and two sisters when a sudden start
dislodged him from his position. He fell backward, the back wheel of the wagon
passed over his leg. Dr. Ryan was called at once to treat the injury and the
injured boy was taken to the Owen Hospital, where an X-ray was taken of the
fractured leg and where he is now being treated.
