Merkel, Lois (26 AUG 1934)
A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary's Parsonage Sunday afternoon at
2:00 o'clock, when Miss Lois Merkel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Merkel,
became the bride of Merrill Hare, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hare. Rev. Gerald
Schuh officiated.
The bride's gown was of blue with white accessories and she carried a prayer
book, while Miss Lucille Schwarze, as bridesmaid, was attired in maroon crepe
and wore white accessories. Albert Neuenfeldt served the groom as best man. The
groom and best man both wore light suits.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents,
where dinner was served to fifteen relatives and friends.
The bride and groom are both graduates of the Greenwood High School and are well
known to our many readers. The groom is employed at the Keiner Meat Market. The
young couple will make their home with the bride's parents for the present.
The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for a happy wedded life.
