Zickert, Capt. Martin J. (Military Notes - 1973)
Capt. Martin J. Zickert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin C. Zickert of Rt. 2
Greenwood, has completed weapon system officer training at Luke AFB, Ariz., in
the F-4 Phantom fighter-bomber.
Capt Zickert, a qualified navigator, received specialized training in all phases
of F-4 Phantom operation and weapons delivery.
He is being assigned to Korat Royal Thai AFB Thailand, for duty with a unit of
the Pacific air forces.
The captain was commissioned in 1963 through the aviation cadet program and
holds the aeronautical rating of senior navigator.
A 1958 graduate of Greenwood High School, he attended Concordia College, St.
Paul, Minn., Wisconsin State university-Eau Claire, and Delta State College,
Cleveland, Miss.
