Stellwagen, Victoria (3 SEP 1934)
News reaches us of the marriage of Norton D. Borgers and Victoria Belle
Stellwagen of Ypsilanti, Mich., on Sept. 3rd, 1934.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stellwagen, prominent residents
of Ypsilanti and Wayne, Mich. She was given away by her father, and accompanied
by her sister, Dorothy, as bridesmaid. Edison Borgers, brother of the groom,
acted as best man.
The bride was gowned in her mother's wedding dress, a sheer mull trimmed with
imported lace. Her corsage bouquet was white roses.
Mrs. Annis Dexter Gray sang Carrie Jacob Bond's lovely song, "I Love You Truly."
Luncheon was served at noon to thirty-six guests. The tables were decorated with
flowers and candles, with baskets in pink and white. The wedding cake was
decorated in pink and white.
After the luncheon, Mr. and Mrs. Borgers left for a two week motor trip to
Chicago and Wisconsin, where they will visit the Dells.
They will live in Detroit, where Mr. Borgers is engaged as electrical sign
connector for the Walker Sign Co.
Mr. Borgers is a graduate of the Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) High School, and
the bride, a graduate of the Wayne High School, and has studied voice and piano.
