Greenwood's (Clark Co., Wis.) new fire truck arrived Monday and an immediate
test of the apparatus was held.
By purchasing this fire truck and by making several other minor adjustments
affecting the fire department and its equipment, Greenwood hopes to regain its
old rating as an eighth class city, or possible an even more favorable rating.
At present the city is rated 9th class, to which it was dropped several months
ago, following the visit by inspectors of the rating bureau. The change resulted
in an addition of about $6,000 in insurance premium payments in the city as a
whole.
The equipment must pass a 6-hour pumping test before it is acceptable to the
underwriters.
