The birthday club met at the Honnas Audorff home in Cadott Friday. Mrs. Hugo
Kuehl was the honored guest.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Kile of Owen and Kenneth Kile of Greenwood visited Mrs. John
Kile Sunday.
Dr. and Mrs. George Pope, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Pope, and Cathy Burm of Park Ridge,
Il., visited Mrs. Pope’s sisters and brother, Mrs. John Bizjak, Mrs. Arthur
Reineke and Curt Mayenschein last weekend.
May Lynn Mayenschein of Milwaukee spent a few days recently with her folks, Mr.
and Mrs. Curt Mayenschein. Other visitors have been Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Andruskiewicz and daughters of Thorp.
Mrs. Thelma Palmer, Mrs. Harold Palmer and Mrs. Pirl Burrington spent Wednesday
in Chippewa Falls.
Mr and Mrs. Jack Conklin are alone again after a busy summer of entertaining.
Their son, MMSN Jack, left Sunday to report for duty on the Caribbean; Capt. and
Mrs. Leslie Conklin and family returned to Monterey, Ca., on Monday. He will
report for duty in Okinawa August 13. Mr. and Mrs. James Kessler and family of
Flat Rock, Mich., returned Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Reed and daughters
returned to Hurley before the Kessler’s arrived. Mr. and Mrs. James Conklin and
family of St. Petersburg, Il., and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Emons of Alton, Il.,
visited from Monday until Wednesday at the Conklin home.
The Rev. Harold Palmer is fill-in pastor at the Rock Falls Union Church in the
absence of their minister. He will be supplying the pulpit until the middle of
August.
The Rev. and Mrs. Le Roy Gross and Carolee of Greenwood were supper guests at
the Palmer home Monday. They called at the Burrington home in the evening.
Mrs. Dewayne Parent and Steven of Humbird spent Sunday at the Pirl Burrington
home.
Mrs. Hugo Kuehl celebrated her birthday Sunday be entertaining the following
guests: Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Kuehl and daughter, Katharine and granddaughter,
Lucinda of Finland, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Cornwell and daughters of Ripon;
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kuehl and family of Augusta, and Mrs. Sylvia Winterer of
Thorp.
Mrs. Harold Palmer and Miss Thelma Palmer were in St. Paul, Mn, on Saturday.
Mr and Mrs. Ronald Altmann and family of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Reineke and family of Eau Claire, spent the weekend at the Arthur Reineke home.
Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wavrunek of Neillsville visited at the Collin home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brownlow and Stanton Martinson of Union Grove spent a day
last week at the Charles Tieman home.
Mr. and Mrs. George Morrison and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Reineke of Eau
Claire visited at the Arthur Morrison home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morrison spent Saturday in Tripoli.
