The Greenwood Woman's Club met Friday evening, Feb. 3, 1939 at the home of Mrs.
P.W. Gullord. The program announced last week was not given, but a debate, put
on by the High School Debating Team.
The question debated was "Resolved that the United States should establish an
alliance with Great Britain." The affirmative were Elaine Buker and Stanton
Gaylord, and the negative were Margaret Thorson and Norbert Jolivette. The
debate was well given and was enjoyed by all.
After the debate a business meeting was held. Mrs. Loren Giswold was elected
Study Chairman for the coming year and Mrs. Clarence Gorsegner was elected Civic
Chairman for the coming year.
The party, which will be held at the next meeting, was discussed. It will be
held at the home of Mrs. Russell Mead on Friday, February 17th.
Any of the members who are asked for donations and find they cannot furnish,
please notify one of the committee members so other arrangements may be made
before that night.
