Stauske, Bernard V. (18 DEC 1948 - 4 JAN 2015)

Bernard V. Stauske, 66, Colby, formerly of Edgar, died Sunday January 4, 2015 at Colonial Center, Colby.

He was born December 18, 1948 in Athens, son of the late Edwin and Magdelena (Hargraves) Stauske.

He enjoyed woodworking and seeing his friends over coffee at the Snack Shack. He took pride in his jobs of mowing lawn at the church and helping his daughter and son-in-law on their farm in Athens. Bernie liked to tell stories about his experiences filled with a lot of "whatchamacallits" and "you knows."

Survivors include three daughters, Michele (Gary) Gajewski, Athens, Angel (Fred) Copa, Weston and Kristi (Steve) Seubert, Dorchester; grandchildren, Amanda Gajewski, Delaware, Samantha (Rich) Hansen, Minneapolis, MN, Miranda Copa, Weston, Alexa Gajewski, Athens, Hailie Seubert, Dorchester, Dustin Copa, Weston, Isaac and Zachary Seubert, Dorchester; siblings, Leonard (Louetta) Stauske, Athens, Walter Stauske, Medford and Carol Carl, Rib Mountain and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday January 10, 2015 at St. John Evangelical Church (High Steeple), Edgar. Rev. Jeffrey A. Lambrecht will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Colonial Center for the years of care provided to Bernard.
