Paun, John N. (8 January 1938 -f8 January 2015)

John N. Paun, 77, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield with his family by his side.

John was born Jan. 8, 1938, the son of Tom and Mary Paun in Granton. He graduated from Granton High School. John was united in Marriage June 16, 1962 to Ellen. The couple operated a farm together. John also worked as a truck driver and as an operating engineer for the Local 139th.

In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, mechanical work and a good game of cards. Those that knew him will miss his warm spirit and his great sense of humor.

John is lovingly survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Renee (Jim) Krueger; and grandchildren, Tyler, Megan and Hunter. He is further survived by his siblings, Joe Paun, Frank Paun, Martha (Robert) Seymour, Mary Jane (Vernon) Cassell, and Tom (Janette) Paun. He will be truly missed.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary, as well as a sister, Helen Nelson.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Zion Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (W 2880 Granton Road) in Granton. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
