The Arleigh Syths of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) had enough of auto mishaps to
last a long time.
It started when Mrs. Syth, driving their car, skidded on the icy pavement on
Highway 73 south of Greenwood, and ran into the ditch. That was January 5th.
It was concluded last Friday night when Mrs. Syth suffered a nose fracture and
facial bruises as the result of an accident at the junction of Highway 73 and
98.
When Mrs. Syth’s car went into the ditch, Alvin Ehlers of Greenwood came along
in a 1 1/2 ton truck. He stopped behind another car on the pavement to give aid
to Mrs. Syth. As he stopped, a car driven by Donald Stabnow, also of Greenwood,
collided with the rear of the Ehlers truck, according to Traffic Officer Lorris
Dusso. The front of the Stabnow car was damaged.
When the second mishap befell the Syths, Mr. and Mrs. Syth had stopped on the
road at the junction of Highways 73 and 98. A car driven by Edwin E. Timmler of
Loyal approached the junction. Mr. Timmler was unable to stop. Traffic Officer
Dusso reported and crossed the intersection, colliding with the Syth car.
In addition to the injuries to Mrs. Syth, both cars were damaged. (Clark County
