Amundson, Mr./Mrs. Orlando J. (40th – 27 JUN 1947)
On Friday afternoon and evening, June 27, 1947, Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Amundson held
open house to their many friends and relatives in celebration of their 40th
wedding anniversary.
Refreshments were served on tables decorated with candles and flower. The
Amundsons received a purse of money, flowers, and other gifts and congratulatory
messages.
Miss Olga Olson and Orlando J. Amundson were united in marriage at Woodville,
Wis. on June 27, 1907, and for some time lived at Strum, Glenwood City, and came
to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1928. Mr. Amundson owns and operates the
Amundson Feed Mill here.
They have one son, Gordon of Emerald; two daughters, Mrs. A.S. Rushkit?
(Bernice), and Mrs. Robert Funke (Laura), both of New Holstein, and Miss
Lorraine Amundson, an adopted daughter, at home. They also have five
grandchildren, Tommy and Nancy Funke, Angeline, Bernice and Mary Ellen Amundson.
The out of town guests who were present were there children, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin
Olson, Mr. and Mrs. John Olson of Emerald; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evenson,
Neillsville; and their granddaughter, Nancy Funke, of New Holstein.
The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for many more happy anniversaries.
