Mr. Alf Larson, manager of the Greenwood Farmer Store, announced Monday that the
official opening of the self-service grocery department would take place
Saturday, March 18th, 1950.
The food departments of the store have been completely remodeled and restocked
with a large variety of foods of all kinds. New shelving, display racks and
vegetable keepers have been added to help the customer to “help himself.”
Alf announced also that as a special feature Saturday a free lunch will be
served to all customers and visitors.
