The following Neillsville students graduated in December 2014 from the
University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie:
Justin Poeschel, Bachelor of Science (BS), marketing and business education
Shelly Zank, BS, early childhood education
The following area residents were named to the Western Technical College (La
Crosse) President’s List of High Distinction for the fall 2014 semester. These
students received a gradepoint average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher and carried 12 or
more credits in an associate’s degree or technical diploma program:
Johannah Goerlitz of Withee; and Amanda Morstatter of Neillsville
The following area students have been named to the University of
Wisconsin-Madison Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic
years:
Merrillan - Amy Perkins, College of Letters and Science;
Neillsville - Katelyn Crothers, College of Letters and Science; Brandon
Humboldt, College of Letters and Science; Lauren Reinhardt, School of Nursing;
Katrina Strobush, College of Engineering; Nicholas Thoma, College of Engineering
The following area students have been named to the dean’s list (Minimum 3.5
semester GPA) and (12 credits) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the
fall semester of the 2014-15 academic years:
Merrillan - Hannah Kalina, management major;
Neillsville - Dessa Karl, social studies education major (Broad Field Option A);
Mary Mohr, exercise and sport science major; exercise science - pre-professional
track; Faith Schmidt, sociology major; Jule Venne, psychology major; Bekkah
Zickert, biology major
The following area students were named to Upper Iowa University’s (UIU) for 2014
dean’s list (minimum 3.5 GPA):
Jenna Reynolds of Abbotsford, attending the UIU Wausau location; Melanie Sperl
of Withee, attended the UIU Wausau location
Brooke E. Brekke, of Neillsville, earned a place on the dean’s list at
Appalachian State University, Boone, ND, for the fall of 2014 semester. She
received a 3.58 grade-point average (GPA).
The following area students were named to the University of Wisconsin-River
Falls fall semester dean’s list (minimum 3.5 GPA):
Owen - Jenessa Freidhof, agricultural business; Kyle Karlen, animal science.
