Nelson, Kenneth Odell (29 November 1941 - 2 November 2014) With Flag

Kenneth Odell Nelson, 72, of Humbird died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center, while under the care of Black River Memorial Hospice.

Kenneth was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Black River Falls to Obert and Olga Nelson. Kenneth served in the U. S. Army from 1961-1967. After returning from the service, he worked at Jackson Box Factory and Nelson Mfg. He retired in 2004 from Ashley Furniture in Arcadia. He also was a member of the Humbird Fire Department for 32 years.

Kenneth is survived by his brother, Odell Nelson of Humbird.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Obert and Olga; and two brothers, Hensel and Maynard.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at Upper Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northfield with Rev. David Christianson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton. Friends may also call from 10 a.m. until the time of series at the church Thursday.
