Weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Leonard Wachholz were Mr. and Mrs. Glen
Wachholz and sons, Richard and Michael, and Miss Elaine Wachholz of St. Paul, Mn,
and Mr. and Mrs. Arden Wachholz of Milwaukee. Richard Wachholz and Elaine
Wachholz remained in Neillsville to spend the week with Mrs. Wachholz.
Mr. and Mrs. William Simek, Jr., and sons, Douglas and Stewart, of St. Paul, Mn,
spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Simek, Sr. Sunday
Guests at the Simek home also included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gault, Mrs. Minnie
Gault and Mrs. Mary Simek, all of Wausau.
Mrs. J. W. Kearns returned home last Tuesday from Janesville and Madison, where
she attended the wedding of a granddaughter, Miss Victoria Palmer, and Joseph A.
Erbs on Sunday, July 29, at St. Paul’s Catholic University Chapel. The
newlyweds, both of Janesville, are recent graduates of the University of
Wisconsin-Madison and will enter graduate school at Boston University soon.
Bridget Burr entertained a number of friends July 29, the occasion being her
15th birthday. Sunday, Mrs. Dorothy Burr and family were supper guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Garald Hart, also in observance of Bridget’s birthday.
Callers at the Gordon Lavine home one day last weekend were her niece and
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thompson of Rockford, Il. Sunday callers were Mr.
and Mrs. Vern Meihak of Marshfield.
Weekend houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lukes were Tom Lukes of La Crosse,
Miss Shari David of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Thacher and daughters, Lori
and Jenny, of Cottage Grove, Mn. joining them on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Max
Cutler and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Thacher of Waterloo, Ia., and a friend, Wendy, of
Rochester, Minn.
