Janesville Settlement (18 Jul 1918)
Mr. and Mrs. C. Loeffler and Joe Buettner spent Monday evening at the F. Marlik
home.
Mrs. Al. Flagg spent Friday evening with Mrs. Joe Lakatick.
Antonia Marlik spent Saturday afternoon with Anna and Sophia Waseca.
Henry Marvin is working for Lew Dimeler.
Mrs. J. Halle and son, Arnold, and daughter, Lena, and Mrs. Mienkeys and
children spent Tuesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Halle.
Joe Buettner was a Loyal caller Tuesday.
Leland Sheets spent Sunday at the Lew Dimeler home.
Anna and Sophia Waseca and Antonia Marlik spent Monday evening with Mrs. J.J.
Susa.
Roy Rowert and Evan Hatton attended the show at Greenwood Thursday evening.
E.T. Emling and sister, Laura, of Spencer and Mrs. Ed. Keefe were out to the
blueberry country Sunday.
Chas. Rowert of Janesville autoed up here Saturday for a short visit with his
father, Wm. Rowert. He returned early Monday morning.
Matilda Marlik is helping Mrs. Joe Lakatick with her household duties.
Jason Bostwick and Miss Iva Gross of Greenwood were seen in our vicinity Sunday
evening.
Mrs. S.B. Flagg spent Saturday and Sunday with her mother in Owego.
Rob. Syth, Albert Peterson and S. Smith took dinner with F. Hatton Saturday.
Chas. Rowert called at the Moorhead home Sunday afternoon and found the new road
completed. We are all glad to hear this as it has been a very bad place to drive
in and out.
Mrs. Chas. Bostwick spent Sunday afternoon at C. Hatton’s.
F. Stuerwald of Loyal called on Joe Buettner Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Waseca and daughters, Anna and Sophia, spent Saturday evening at
the Halle home.
Mrs. Chas. Bostwick spent Monday with Mrs. Moorhead.
Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Flagg spent Tuesday evening at C. Hatton’s.
Jake Saulmerson is helping A.L. Borgers in haying.
Annabel Moorhead is spending a few days with Mrs. Ellis Jacklin of Globe.
Mrs. Dillenbeck and son, Roger, were Neillsville callers Tuesday.
Frank Hatton and Roget Dillenbeck called on Albert Peterson in Eaton Center
Wednesday evening.
Dr. Carl Baker called at Hugo Halle’s Saturday evening to see the little
daughter, who is very sick with pneumonia.
Ulysses White and family have moved back on their farm here after spending the
past six months in Nebraska.
