Dells Dam (18 Jul 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Anderson gave a farewell party to their son, Harry, Monday night, July 15, before leaving for the army. A large crowd was out.

There will be a social at the church Thursday evening, July 26. Everyone cordially invited.

Mr. Raether’s folks had a family gathering at their place on account of Harry Anderson being called to the colors.

Harry Anderson and wife returned from Hazelhurst last Thursday to spend a few days with relatives and friends before going to Minnesota to join the colors.

Mrs. P. Larson and son, John, of Columbia and Pearl Braman and wife took dinner at the A. Wenberg home Sunday.

The Sewing Circle meets today (Thursday) with Mrs. August Anderson.

Victor Horton lost a nice pig last Monday morning.

Richard Walters is helping Mike Johnson with his haying.

There was a full house out to church last Sunday evening.

Mrs. Scott Raether and children returned Wednesday from Hazelhurst after spending several days with her brother, Harry, and wife.

John Ehlers is busy putting up his new house.
