Globe (25 Jul 1918)

A number of boys from here were called to leave Friday to serve their country in the army.

Edgar Grap went to Wausau Monday to see his brother, Leo, and family before leaving for a training camp Friday.

Mrs. Wm. Mitte and Mrs. Albert Lueck and Anton Schoenherr returned from Wabasso, Minn., where they went to see their sister, who is very sick.

Miss Julia Tragsdorf of Neillsville spent a week here with Erna Grap.

Bill Schultz was here from Sparta on a few days’ furlough to visit friends.

Miss Julia Timlin of Stanley has been visiting at the Aug. Worchel home.

Harold Walk of Neillsville is visiting at the Gus. Grap home.

The dance at Globe Friday night was well attended and all had a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder and children of Neillsville visited with Gus. Grap and family Sunday.
