Weyer, Jane (4 OCT 1969)
On Saturday at 12:00 noon on Oct. 4th, 1969, Miss Jane Weyer of 925 N. St.,
Marshfield, and William Herr of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in
marriage at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Loyal. Fr. King, assisted by Fr.
Koopman of Greenwood, performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weyer of R. 1, Loyal, and Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Herr of R. 3, Greenwood.
The choir of St. Anthony's School and the congregation sang, with Sr. Joan as
accompanist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore an Edwardian style
bridal gown of imported rayon organza trimmed with Chantilly lace. Her cathedral
length train was also trimmed with Chantilly lace. Her veil fell from a
waterfall crown.
Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Simonson, Spencer, was her sister's maid of honor. Mrs.
James (Kathleen) Martin, New Berlin, Mrs. Francis (Anita) Herr, Greenwood, and
Miss Sue Weyer, Loyal, were he other attendants.
Their dresses were of avocado color georgette with long sleeves, pleated skirts
with velvet trim, and matching headpieces. Their bouquets were of yellow
daisies.
Francis Herr, Greenwood, was best man. Other attendants were James Martin, New
Berlin, Richard Simonson, Spencer, and William Lindner of Greenwood.
Miss Cindy Weyer, sister of the bride, was miniature bride. Master Michael
Yaeger, Greenwood, was ring bearer.
Ray Weyer, Loyal, and Ken Bertz, Marshfield, were ushers.
The reception was held at the bride's parents home on R. 1, Loyal. Supper was
served to 300 guests at St. Anthony's dining hall at 4:30. The wedding dance was
held at the Silver Done in Neillsville.
The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School and has been employed as a surgical
technician at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
The groom is a graduate of Greenwood High School. He has farmed with his father.
After October 15 the couple will farm on the groom's farm at R. 1, Greenwood.
Their honeymoon will be spent in the Eastern states.
