College Notes (11 February 2015)

The following area students were honored by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for attaining high grade-point averages (GPA) during the fall semester of the 2014-1015 academic years.

Merrillan - Laura K. Wright, highest honors (GPA 3.9 to 4.0); Neillsville - Taran A. Brody, high honors (GPA 3.75 to 3.89); Kaylene L. Sheikh, honors (GPS 3.50 to 3.74); Melissa J. Strangfeld, honors: McKenzie L. Trunkel, highest honors; Emma L. Voss, highest honors; Miles J. Voss, high honors;

Megan Roedel of Loyal was named to the Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) 2014 fall term dean’s list (GPA 3.5 or above).

The following area students have been named to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire deans’ lists for the 2014 fall semester:

Merrillan - Kayla Patterson, education and human sciences; Neillsville - Amanda Dux, nursing and health sciences; Kimberly Evans, Dustin Gaddis, Lindsey Opelt and Kendra Pfeiffer, education and human sciences; Owen - Katie Beck, Maria Berseth, education and human sciences; Andrea Fellenz, Emily Gokey, arts and sciences; Anna Westaby, education and human sciences;

Miles German of Owen was named to the Pine Technical and Community College (Pine City, MN) fall 2014 dean’s list (3.0 to 3.9 GPA).

Brandon Humboldt of Neillsville was named to the dean’s list of the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the fall 2014 semester. He received a 3.625 GPA.

Mollie Duginski of Colby earned semester honors (minimum 3.5 GPA) for the fall 2014 semester at Edgewood College (Madison, WI). She was also named to the dean’s list (Minimum 3.75 GPA).

Timothy Gelhaus of Owen was named to the Clarke University (Dubuque, IA) dean’s list (3.65 GPA or above) for the fall 2014 semester.

Trista Hribar of Neillsville was named to the Concordia University (Mequon) fall honors list (minimum 3.5 GPA) for the 2014 to 2015 academic year. She is a senior majoring in computer science-information technology.

Andrew Usher of Neillsville received a Bachelor of Science degree in conservation from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls during fall commencement in December.

The following area students were named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater dean’s list (GPA 3.4 or above) for the 2014 fall semester:
