Schindler, Sebastian (25 NOV 1884 – 8 NOV 1969)
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1969 from St. Anthony's Catholic
Church for Sebastian Schindler, who passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield on Nov. 8, 1969, at the age of 85.
The Rev. N.E. King officiated at the service, with the Roycraft-Myre Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
Sebastian Schindler was born on Nov. 25, 1884 in Chippewa Falls. On April 22,
1907 he was married to Anna Bowe at Tilden, Wis. Following their marriage they
farmed at Chippewa Falls for 20 years before moving to Loyal, where they farmed
until retirement.
He is survived by 6 sons, Kenneth and James, Loyal, Fred, Curtiss, Albert,
Downers Grove, Ill., Elmer, Chicago, and Edward, Marshfield, and 5 daughters,
Bernadette, Loyal, Marie, Eau Claire, Leone Lieske, Eau Claire, Myra Caron,
Skokie, Ill., and Margaret Hinkel, Madison.
Also surviving are 3 sisters, Lena Prew and Ella Greening, both living in
Minnesota, and Anna Paulson, Bloomer, Wis., and 2 brothers, William Colfax, and
Frank, Tilden. Twenty-two grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died July 18, 1959, 1 daughter and 4
brothers.
