Stellema, Lynn Ellen (8 NOV 1969)

At ceremonies held at the First Presbyterian Church in Michigan City, Indiana, Saturday, Nov. 8th, 1969, Miss Lynn Ellen Stellema, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert J. Stellema, Michigan City, was given in marriage by her father to Michael Allan Kauffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett A. Kauffman, Route 1, Chili (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Rev. David L. Thomas performed the 2 o'clock ceremony.

The bride wore a gown of sheer organza designed with train, with a profile of Venice lace daisies in velvet accents, with silk illusion veiling in layers. Her crescent bouquet included anthurium and tiger lilies.

In the bridal party were Miss Michele McAnally, Michigan City, the maid of honor, and Miss Jean Kauffman, Madison, and Mrs. Dennis Schultz, Michigan City, bridesmaids.

They wore willow green velvet and crepe formals in A-line design, and feathered pompons with matching muffs. Curving arrangements of bronze pompons were on the muffs.

Best man was Michael Haney, Norristown, Pa., with William Berry of Marshfield and William Stellema, Michigan City, as groomsmen.

A dinner and reception were held at the Elks Club with 300 guests attending. Following a honeymoon, the couple will be at home at 214 Decatur Street, Michigan City, Indiana.

Mrs. Kauffman, a 1967 graduate of Isaac C. Elston High School and Michigan City Beauty College, has been working at the La Petite Salon of Beauty.

Mr. Kauffman is a 1964 graduate of Loyal High School, has just completed four years in the U.S. Navy submarine service. Next semester he will begin studies at Purdue North Central.
