Hilton, Diana (Marriage - 18 August 1973)
The United Church of Christ, Owen, was the setting Saturday, August 18, at 4:30
p.m. for the marriage of Miss Diana Hilton and Allen Wagner. The Rev. Kurt
Sampson officiated at the ceremony joining the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Hilton, Withee, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wagner, Owen.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a candlelight white
Merricane knit gown styled with a Chantilly lace and seed pearl trimmed bodice
with a high neckline and bishop sleeves. The slightly gathered skirt flowed into
a sweep train. Her bouffant veil was held by a lace-trimmed Camelot headpiece.
White miniature carnations and red roses with white ribbons formed the bridal
bouquet.
Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Krogmann, Brookfield. Mrs. Krogmann carried a
bouquet of white miniature carnations and yellow roses.
Organ music was played by Connie Wagner, sister of the groom.
A home in Owen awaits the newlyweds upon their return from a Northern Wisconsin
wedding trip. Both are graduates of Owen-Withee High School. The bride is
employed by a Thorp insurance firm and the groom is associated with his family’s
trucking firm.
