Carlson, Stephanie (Marriage - 11 August 1973)
At home in Abbotsford are Mr. and Mrs. Phil M. Nelson, who were married August
11, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss, in a ceremony performed by the Rev.
R. Tellock. A supper for the bridal party and members of the immediate family
was served at the Skylite club near Athens. The Curtiss hall was the setting for
a buffet supper and dance for 180 guests.
The former Miss Stephanie Carlson, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Carlson, Curtiss. Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson, Rt. 1 Abbotsford, are the
groom’s parents.
A traditional white gown with embroidered daisy neckline trim was chosen by the
bride. Her flowers were pink and white carnations. A carnation corsage
highlighted the yellow gown worn by Matron of honor, Nancy Light, of Dorchester.
The groom was attended by John Pfalzgraf, Abbotsford, as bestman.
The new Mrs. Nelson is a 1972 graduate of Owen-Withee high School. She was
honored by her co-workers at an Abbotsford restaurant with a prenuptial shower
held at the home of Mrs. John Pfalzgraf. Her husband, a 1965 graduate of
Abbotsford High School and a 1969 graduate of the Taylor County Teachers’
College, teaches in the Medford School System.
