Dylan Jay Denk was born on May 9, 1992, in Marshfield, the son of Brian W. and
Julia A. (nee Allar) Denk. He was raised on the family farm northeast of
Greenwood, received his elementary education at St. Mary's Catholic School, and
graduated from Greenwood High School in 2010. He enjoyed playing football and
baseball, was active in 4-H and FFA, and especially enjoyed showing cattle. He
then attended UW-River Falls pursuing a degree in crop and soil sciences until
the present time. He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with
his family and friends, weekends and summers on the farm, deer and turkey
hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, anything outdoors, throwing darts
and playing softball.
Dylan is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Raisa Heath, River
Falls; his parents, Brian and Julie Denk, Greenwood; his sister, Brianna Denk,
Seattle, Wash.; his maternal grandmother, Corrine Allar, Marshfield; his
maternal grandfather, David (Judy) Allar, Sun City, Ariz.; his paternal
grandmother, Marcia Denk, Owen; a close-knit extended family; and many friends
who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Denk; his aunt,
Lonni (Denk) Sowieja; and his uncle, Edward Denk.
Dylan's family asks that donations be given in his name for a memorial to be
established at a later date.
