Angel, Frank L. (30 DEC 1928 – 2 FEB 2015)

Frank L. Angel, 86, passed away at his rural Granton, Wisconsin home on Monday, February 2nd, 2015, with family at his side.

Frank was born on December 30th, 1928, in Highland Park, Illinois. He was the youngest of 3 children, named after his father, and his father's pride and joy. He started working at the tender age of 13 and his exceptionally long work career continued until he was 80 years old. He held several jobs in his youth and eventually started his own business, Frank's Mobile Home Service, moving and servicing mobile homes. The success of his business gave him much pride and satisfaction and led to a partnership with his son, Frank Jr., who was his primary caregiver in his last years. Frank Jr. is now the sole proprietor of Frank's Mobile Home Service.

Frank met his wife, Barbara Jensen, when she was still in high school, and they married in 1948. They had 4 children together and their marriage lasted 65 years until Barbara's passing in 2014. Frank enjoyed family life, fast cars, hard work, taking long driving trips, target shooting and playing horseshoes with friends, westerns, and being out of doors in any weather. Some of his favorite activities were going to auctions and coffee shops with his son, Frank Jr. He was skilled at driving all vehicles, was a wizard at backing mobile homes into tight spots, and especially loved flying small airplanes. He was fond of animals, particularly house cats. He had extraordinary mechanical skills and could fix almost anything. He was a generous and sweet-tempered soul who continually tried to help those who were down and needed a hand up.

Frank is predeceased by his parents, Frank B. Angel and Leola (Anderson) Angel, his wife, Barbara (Jensen) Angel, his brother, Bernard Angel, and his niece, Sandra (Arthur) Tucker.

He is survived by his sister, Vera Astling, of Guttenberg, IA, and many nieces and nephews and their children. He is further survived by his children, Colleen Angel of Stevens Point, Bonnie Christner of Marshfield, Karen (Bruce) Stanley of Marshfield, and Frank (Donna) Angel Jr. of rural Granton, and his grandchildren, Daniel Berger of Plover, Michael Christner of Wausau, Adam (Jana) Christner of Nuremberg, Germany, and Julianne (Carl) Hayenga of Schofield. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life memorial service for Frank Angel will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 28th, 2015, at the Wildwood Station, Soo Line side, in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Friends and acquaintances, please join us. A light lunch will be served.
