Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 is to meet Thursday evening, August 30,
with Mrs. Lloyd Spry. Fifty year membership pins will be presented.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Garbisch and Marilyn attended a reunion of Mrs. Garbisch’s
family Sunday at Aurora, Il.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wegner visited his mother, Mrs. Hulda Wegner, in Marshfield
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Horn and Fern of Chili called Satruday at the Willard
Becherer home, where evening visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Winkel of Loyal.
Mrs. Margaret Retzlaff and son, Pat of Verona have been visiting her father, Ben
Beeckler and brother, William Beeckler.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ayala and Nick have returned to Chicago after two weeks’
vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero. The Feros recently took a
day’s trip to St. Croix Falls and returned along the scenic Mississippi River
route.
Weekend guests at the Ray Hoeft home were her sisters and their husbands, Mr.
and Mrs. Art Gartzke of Keil and Mr. and mrs. Donald Ronk of Shiocton. James
Hanson of Marshfield is spending the week with his grandparents, the Hoeft’s.
Saturday afternoon callers at the home of the misses Daphne and Pearle Beeckler
were Mrs. Sayton and her daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Pickett of Nekoosa, and Mrs.
Pickett’s daughter, Becky and her husband, of Madison. Mrs. John Cooper of Colby
and Miss Gladys Wage of Neillsville and her cousin, Gwendolyn of Milwaukee,
called on Friday, and Mrs. John Perkins and Mrs. Henry Lukes of Neillsville last
Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Breseman spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Krause.
Dave Becherer, who spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard
Becherer, has returned to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he is a
sophomore this year. Mr. and Mrs. Becherer spent the preceding weekend in
Milwaukee visiting their children there.
Mr. and Mrs. Phil Haelen and son Jeff, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bender spent last
week camping in Door County. The Haelens returned home to Chicago Monday
Morning.
Visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert were his nephews and
their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Worchel of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Worchel of La Crosse.
