Marcott, Ray (18 JUN 1889 – 20 JUL 1967)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Abbotsford City
Hall for Ray Marcott, 77, of Phillips, a former area resident. He died at
Memorial Hospital at Park Falls, Thursday, July 20, 1967.
Clinton Hoff and Loren Hamilton were in charge of the services. Pallbearers for
the interment, which was made in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, were Harold
Brockhaus, Lawrence Carlson, Harlan Schoonover, Bert Pearson, Faye Russell and
Dwight Balow.
Music was provided by Victor Topinka and Arthur Topinka, who sang "A Little
While" and "The Savior With Me.". They were accompanied by pianist, Mrs. Harlan
Schoonover.
The Polnaszek Funeral Home of Abbotsford was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Marcott was born June 18, 1889, at Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). He was
educated there, and he was married to the former Martha Brunner in 1914, in
Dorchester. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Dorchester area.
After the death of his wife in 1954, Mr. Marcott moved to Phillips.
Surviving are four sons, Lavern of Abbotsford, Leon, Dorchester, Ralph of
Wayland, Mich., and Donald, Shelbyville, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Charles
(Frances) Sellers and Mrs. Bernard (Doris) Holcomb, Shelbyville, Mich., Mrs.
Ernest (Alva) Lindahl, Marysville, Wash., Mrs. Agnes Anderson, Dorchester, and
Mrs. Bill (Ruth) Harrington, Pullman, Mich.; and two brothers, Isadore, Coos
Bay, Ore., and Ed, Eau Claire. There are also 25 grandchildren.
