Lenz, Mildred (Marriage - 25 August 1973)
Miss Mildred Lenz became the bride of Thomas Hoffman, Jr., in ceremonies
performed Saturday, August 25, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, by the
Rev. Jacob Burggraf. A reception was held at The Sword in Colby. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeeRoy Tyler, Owen, and the groom is the son of Mr.
And Mrs. Thomas Hoffman, Sr., Dorchester.
For her marriage, the ride chose an empire style gown of acetate satin with
mantilla lace framed by a matching waist-length veil. She carried a colonial
bouquet of yellow roses as she was presented in marriage by her step-father.
Miss Bonnie Herning, Fremont, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Carl
Erickson, Jr., Abbotsford and Miss Vicky Hoffman, Dorchester. Their respective
gowns in shades of Nile green, yellow and avocado were complimented by colonial
bouquets.
Serving as bestman was Kirk Hoffman, Dorchester. Carl Erickson, Jr., Abbotsford
and Bill Hoffman, Appleton, acted as groomsmen. Ushers were Tony Lenz and Bill
Gottschalk. Mike Hoffman was the ringbearer and Sharon Stephen, the flower girl.
The newlyweds are 1973 graduates of Colby High School. They will make their home
in Abbotsford.
