Kloth, Elsie (14 OCT 1897 – 10 AUG 1967)
Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Kloth, 69, of Abbotsford, who died Thursday at
6:35 p.m., Aug. 10, 1967, at the Bethel Convalescent Home at Arpin, were held
Monday afternoon.
The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home from Sunday morning until
noon Monday, when it was taken to Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, where the
Rev. F.H. Sprengler conducted services at 2 o'clock. Paul Nixdorf, organist, and
Miss Vicky Nixdorf sang "Abide With Me" and "What a Friend We have in Jesus."
Six grandsons served as pallbearers at the interment in Evergreen Cemetery,
Medford. They were: Lyman Bucki, Walter Bucki Jr., John Hoeper, Verlan Schmidt,
Galen Steen and ray Steen Jr.
The former Elsie Frischmann was born Oct. 14, 1897 in Taylor Co., Wis., and
received her education there. On Aug. 3, 1915, her marriage to Herman Kloth took
place, and they farmed in the Medford and Abbotsford areas. After their
retirement they came to live at Abbotsford. Mr. Kloth died in November 1966.
Mrs. Kloth has been a resident of the Bethel Home since July 17.
Surviving her are a son, Eugene Kloth, Schofield; four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Blondina)
Bucki and Mrs. Ray (Jean) Steen, Medford; Mrs. Richard (Verna) Schmidt,
Dorchester, and Mrs. Fran (Esther) Umlauft, Stetsonville; a sister, Mrs. Marie
Ramm, Medford; a brother, Louis Frischmann, address unknown; 19 grandchildren,
and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters and a brother.
