Prange, Anna (13 APR 1894 – 8 AUG 1967)

Funeral services for Anna Prange, 73, who died Tuesday, Aug. 8, at her home at Pier Lake, were held at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby at 2 p.m.

The Rev. R.J. Grande of Brentwood was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were all nephews of Mrs. Prange. They were Elroy Augustine, Paul Sill, Norman Sill, Norbert Diedrich, Carl Diedrich and Delmar Fischer.

The body lay in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home before the services.

The former Anna Fischer was born in Germany on April 13, 1894. She came to this country with her family when she was 11 years old. Her marriage to Robert Prange, who died in 1933, took place at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

The couple farmed in the town of Hull, just south of Colby, and she lived there until moving to Pier Lake about two years ago, to be with her son, Herbert.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Colby.

Surviving are her son, Herbert Prange; four brothers, Herman Fischer of Lake Wilson, Minn., Carl Fischer of Colby; William Fischer of Pier Lake and Walter Fischer of Colby; and three sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Margaret) Schulte of Milwaukee, Mrs. Fred (Lena) Diedrich of Colby and Mrs. Lambert (Edna) Van Rooy of West Allis.

Preceding her in death were two brothers.

Out of town relatives attending the services included Mrs. Ernest Schulte, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Van Rooy and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Straszewski, all of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sill, Norman Sill and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Fischer of Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fischer of Lake Wilson, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kowalk of Tutle Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Prange of Ridgeland, Mrs. Ella Stalkely and son of Joliet, Ill., and many friends and neighbors from Tripoli, Fenwood, Dorchester, Loyal, Wausau, Rib Lake, Owen, Unit, Marshfield and the Colby area.
