Pischer, Kathleen (Marriage - 1973)
Miss Kathleen Pischer and Thomas Hyslop exchanged marriage vows Saturday. August
25, in a 3:30 p.m. ceremony performed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. The couple greeted guests later at a reception
at Bali Hai supper club.
The bride, presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Pischer of Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hyslop, Pewaukee, are the
groom’s parents.
The former Miss Pischer appeared in a gown of organza and imported embroidered
organza fashioned with long sleeves. A ruffle accented the neckline and front of
the fitted bodice. The skirt was highlighted by a ruffle at the hemline sweeping
into a chapel train. Venise lace bordered her bouffant veil of sheer illusion
securing a lace Camelot headpiece. She carried a nosegay of white glamillias.
The Nile green dotted Swiss attendants’ gowns featuring V-necklines and baby
doll sleeves, contrasted with their white picture hats and nosegays of white
pompons and red sweetheart roses. Miss Carolee Yule, Alma Center, was the honor
attendant and Miss Meredy Hyslop of Pewaukee, Miss Marjorie Lautenbach of
Granton and Miss Ann Hyslop of Pewaukee, were the bridesmaids. Cheryl
Glassbrenner also in green dotted Swiss was the flower girl.
Jeff Ayers, Eau Claire, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Pischer of
Madison, Paul Blum of Sheboygan, and Mark Malec of Waukesha. Guests were seated
by Ken Arberg, Eau Claire, and Tom Coleman Marshfield. Ted Bowman, Exeter, N.
H., was the ringbearer.
Music at the wedding included ‘Wedding Prayer’ and ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ sung by
Miss Marilyn Watenpuhl. Victor Lehmann was the organist.
The new Mrs. Hyslop is a 1969 graduate of Neillsville High School and a 1973
graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science
degree in education. Her husband received a Bachelor of Science degree in
business management from the same school the same year. He is employed as
production manager if a Milwaukee firm.
The newlyweds will live at 153 Morris St., Apartment 3, in Pewaukee.
